We're at the end of the first quarter of the year and I am shooketh 😱. Time, ever relentless, marches forward without a care for our plans or aspirations. In the midst of resolutions and the demands of a new year, I urge you to grant yourself the grace to return home. My definition of returning home is to return to self.
It's a bold call to action to slow down and ask yourself for what you need. In this fast-paced world, it's all too easy to lose sight of ourselves amidst the whirlwind of obligations and expectations. Yet, amidst the chaos, there is still an opportunity to reconnect with the essence of who we are.

Returning home isn’t just about going back to a place; it’s about diving deep into who we really are. It’s like taking a trip inside ourselves, rediscovering what we need to pick up and what we need to let go. As you take a moment to reflect on how far you've come, I hope you find comfort in just taking a moment to connect with yourself. Grant yourself the grace to acknowledge your desires, your needs, and your aspirations. Among all the noise around you, don't forget to listen to your own intuition. And in the midst of work, relationships and pushing for progress, take a moment to celebrate your small wins. Every tiny step counts and shows how determined you are. Embrace the ups and downs of growth, knowing that every stumble teaches you something new. As we head into the next part of the year, embrace it with a fresh outlook. You've got this! Trust that you're exactly where you're meant to be, and every twist and turn adds to your unique journey.
As time unfolds, my wish for you is to gradually realize and embrace the truth that you don’t need anyone’s validation to take a break, find joy, or hit the reset button. Seriously, it's your birthright! You have every right to reclaim your inner peace and happiness whenever you choose. Release the pressure to live up to unrealistic expectations or harmful narratives. You're free to come back to yourself whenever you need to, no questions asked. So, embrace that freedom. Own it. Rest, soak in the good stuff, and start fresh whenever the urge strikes.
It's all yours for the taking.

Thank you for this post, sis! I shared a screenshot of something I saw earlier that seems relatable - hope it resonates.
As I get closer to God and deeper into my healing/growth journey, I'm realizing that 'returning home' is what it is all about. Returning to the person I was before the world reared its ugly head. The soft and gentle, yet the assertive and confident. Healing and letting go not only returns us back to ourselves, but it also expands us beyond our limitations so we can experience the fullness of life in a way that feels authentic to us. 🙏🏾🤍✨
